Leonard Garcia Takes On Diego Nunes At WEC 47 has reported that former UFC fighter Leonard Garcia (17-5) will look to get back on the win track when he takes on Diego Nunes (13-1) on the preliminary card of WEC 47.

Leonard Garcia has gone 3-2 since he dropped from lightweight to featherweight and started competing in the World Extreme Cagefighting organization. His last fight was at “WEC 44: Brown Vs. Aldo” and he took home a unanimous decision loss to Manvel Gamburyan for his efforts. Garcia is best known for his three round war against Sports Illustrated cover boy Roger Huerta in the UFC.

Team Nogueira fighter Diego Nunes will look to rebound from his first loss as a professional Mixed Martial Artist when he takes on Garcia. The loss came in his last outing, against LC Davis and also at WEC 44.

WEC 47 takes place on March 6 at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio and will feature a headline bout between Brian Bowles and Dominick Cruz.
