MMAJunkie.com is reporting that Frank Trigg confirmed his inclusion on the ever-growing list of fighters to have their contracts with the UFC terminated after fighting at “UFC 109:Relentless”. Trigg, competing in the UFC for the second time since his 2009 return to the organization, took on Matt Serra at UFC 109 and lost via first round knock out.
Trigg returned to the Octagon in 2009 after an almost three year absence from the organization. In his time away from the UFC he fought in other organizations, appeared on Total Nonstop Action Wrestling for a brief stint and broadcasted for Pride FC. In his return performance “Twinkle Toes” took on Josh Koscheck in a welterweight bout and lost by first round knockout.
Mark Coleman, Phillipe Nover and Tim Hague also were cut from the UFC after posting losses at last Saturday’s event.
