MMAjunkie.com is reporting that Jake Ellenberger has agreed to step-in and face Ben Saunders at UFC 111 on March 27th.
It was reported earlier today by 5thRound.com that Martin Kampmann, Saunders’ original opponent, was forced off the card due to a cut over his right eye.
Ellenberger posted an impressive TKO win over veteran Mike Pyle at UFC 108 in January. The 24-year-old owns an impressive holds 22-5 pro mark.
Saunders, who is one of the division’s lankiest fighters, has managed to use his incomparable length to claim a respectable 8-1-2 record. The American Top Team-trained fighter thrashed the gritty Marcus Davis with a barrage of knee strikes to earn a devastating TKO victory at UFC 106 this past November.
UFC 111 will be taking place inside the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
