One of the UFC’s infamous win-or-go-home matches has been added to UFC 114. MMAFighting.com is reporting that Jesse Forbes (11-4) will meet Ryan Jensen (14-6) in a middleweight bout.
Ryan Jensen entered the UFC at “UFC Fight Night 15: Diaz Vs. Neer” and fought Wilson Gouveia. Jensen earned a loss by submission for his efforts and has since only been able to score one win in his three fights in the Octagon. His last outing saw him lose by submission via punches against Mark Munoz.
TUF 3 alum Jesse Forbes blew his first chance to get a UFC contract by losing to Matt Hamill via TKO (strikes) in their debut performances at The Ultimate Fighter 3 Finale in 2006. He went on to have thirteen fights in other organizations before getting the call back to the UFC for “UFC Fight Night 20: Maynard Vs. Diaz” on January 11 where he picked up a split decision loss to Nick Catone.
Both fighters will most likely be fighting for their UFC careers when they meet at UFC 114 in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. The fight will take place on May 29, 2010 and will feature headlining bouts with Rashad Evans taking on Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Forrest Griffin battling Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.
