“Strikeforce: Miami” Can’t Outdo “Carano Vs. Cyborg” In Ratings

The television number are in for Showtime’s highly anticipated Strikeforce: Miami broadcast. Saturday’s event captured 517,000 viewers, which featured the Strikeforce debuts of former NFL great Herschel Walker and Bobby Lashley and capped-off with two title bouts.

Although Strikeforce: Miami fared much better than Strikeforce: Evolution, which took place on December 19th on Showtime and garnered 341,000 viewers, it couldn’t catch-up to Showtime’s broadcast of Strikeforce: Carano vs. Cyborg event that captivated 576,000 viewers.

Showtime is currently available in approximately 12 million homes, however the event was only aired live on the East Coast and via three-hour delay on the West Coast.
