Alistair Overeem Talks UFC, Says He Would Sign If Terms Were Right

Strikeforce heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem has had contract talks with the UFC in the past, at UFC 93 in Dublin to be exact, but still hasn’t come to terms with the world’s largest MMA promotion.

Before he’s willing to enter the Octagon, he says that the UFC needs to come to terms with some of his conditions.

“Money is important but it isn’t everything. There are some conditions they have that I don’t like. But like I said, when the terms are right I will sign right away,” Overeem recently told Fighter’s Only.

The same could be said for the world’s best heavyweight, Fedor Emelianenko, except if the UFC wasn’t willing to meet all of Fedor’s demands why would they bend over backwards for Overeem’s services?

Overeem’s biggest selling point is his future in MMA, with Emelianenko being 33 years of age and possibly towards the tail-end of his prime, maybe the UFC considers Fedor’s demands as too risky.

“I am just getting started, I still have six, seven or maybe eight years before retirement,” Overeem said of his budding career.
