Former Pride, Dream and UFC middleweight Denis Kang has officially signed with Canadian MMA promotion W-1 MMA after recently being released by the UFC.
W-1 MMA CEO Jack Bateman confirmed the signing himself via his official Twitter page.
“W1 sign’s #1 free angent Denis Kang to a multi fight deal,” Bateman tweeted regarding his newest acquisition.
Kang was once thought of as one of the top middleweights in the world during an impressive 23 fight streak where he didn’t suffer a loss (albeit two of his bouts were no contests).
Since that streak however, Kang has gone only 4-5 including a 1-2 record in the Octagon which prompted the UFC to release him.
He is expected to make his W-1 MMA debut on March 20th.
