Although reports have Kenny Florian facing Japanese superstar Takanori Gomi at UFC Fight Night 21 on March 31st, the former top contender reiterated yesterday on ESPN’s MMALive that nothing has been agreed upon.
Don’t fret MMA fans, nothing may be signed, but Florian sounded as though it was all but a done deal.
“Nothing is signed yet, but that’s a fight I’ve been wanting for a long time,” Florian stated. “Takanori Gomi is of course a legend in the sport, a guy I have a lot of respect for. It’s going to be a great fight.”
The yet-to-be-announced Spike TV broadcast is expected to take place in North Carolina and will serve as a lead-in for “The Ultimate Fighter 11? debut immediately after.
