The UFC could be moving the rematch between Lyoto Machida and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua back a week because of the proposed Floyd Mayweather vs. Shane Mosley boxing match.
UFC president Dana White previously said that he would not oppose a Mayweather vs. Pacquiao super-fight and it seems as though he’s steering clear of a Mayweather-Mosely showdown as well.
White recently told Yahoo! Sports that if the boxing match goes down on May 1st in Las Vegas, the organization would “look to” move UFC 113 back a week to May 8th.
The suggested change makes sense considering the current economic conditions, which have been compounded by the slew of injuries and illnesses that have ravaged recent UFC pay-per-view broadcasts.
