Aaron Simpson vs. Tom Lawlor
Round 1: Lawlor came out swinging and landed a big uppercut. Simpson was able to recover, but Lawlor landed another nice combination and was able to rock Simpson with another uppercut. Lawlor started wailing away on Simpson again, and Simpson is wobbly. Lawlor landed a knee and another uppercut, followed it up with a right hook and another uppercut. Simpson was able to recover and landed a leg kick, but was nailed with a straight left in the process. Neither man was able to follow up as the round came to a close. Dominant round for Lawlor. FightLine.com scores the round 10-8 for Lawlor.
Round 2: Both fighters traded early. Simpson was able to clinch against the cage and went for a single leg takedown, and was able to take Lawlor down and get side control. Simpson landed some punches and Lawlor gave up his back to get back to his feet. Lawlor was able to get out of it and press Simpson up against the cage. Simpson broke free, and they both circled in the middle of the cage. Lawlor pegged Simpson again and pressed Simpson against the cage. Lawlor flinched like he got poked in the eye, but the referee didn’t see it. Lawlor landed a left, but Simpson pushed forward and pressed Lawlor against the cage again and Lawlor attempted a guillotine but was blocked. Simpson landed a couple of good shots and got a takedown into a guillotine by Lawlor. Close round, FightLine.com scores the round 10-9 for Simpson.
Round 3: Both fighters came out swinging. Lawlor stuffed a takedown from Simpson. Simpson was finally able to score a big takedown, but Lawlor was able to get back to his feet and score a takedown of his own, but Simpson got back to his feet. Lawlor went for a kimura, but Simpson was able to shake it off. Simpson was able to mount, and Lawlor attempted a roll to get out but Simpson was able to get Lawlor’s back. Simpson got the hooks in, but was able to get out of it. Simpson stayed busy trying to get Lawlor’s back, and worked for a rear-naked choke. Lawlor was able to get back to his feet, but Simpson continued to control the fight and landed some punches on an exhausted Lawlor. Both men swung for the fences and Lawlor hurt Simpson with one of his strikes as the round came to an end. I have it as a draw. FightLine.com scores the round 10-9 for Simpson.

The crowd booed Simpson after the fight and Joe Rogan tried to defend him, and asked the crowd to give him a round of applause, but the crowd reacted with more booes. Simpson called wrestling the sport ever and asked everyone watching to get their kids into wrestling.
