Final Card For Tonight’s "WEC 46: Varner vs. Henderson"

Don’t forget that today’s NFL Wild Card games will play the perfect lead-in to tonight’s “WEC 46: Varner vs. Henderson” event inside the Arco Arena in Sacto, California.

The evening’s main event will feature a WEC lightweight title unification fight between interim champ Ben Henderson and champ Jaimie Varner on Versus.

Varner was last seen taking a controversial split decision over Donald Cerrone at WEC 38 last January in San Diego, CA. The fight was stopped in the 5thRound due to an unintentional knee to Varner’s head.

Following the fight, Varner announced that he had broken his right hand and has been on the mend ever since. He was slated to rematch Cerrone at WEC 43, however continued to have issues with his haymaker which forced the organization to manufacture an interim bout between Cerrone and Henderson.

Henderson took a unanimous decision and walked out of the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas with WEC gold.

Here are the other fighters slated to participate in the evening’s event:

Will Campuzano vs. Coty Wheeler
