CBS will be broadcasting their fifth MMA event sometime in 2010 with Strikeforce targeting an April card which will feature WAMMA heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko and the newly signed Dan Henderson.
According to FanHouse.com, no opponents have been announced for the promotion’s two biggest names, but just having them on the card will generate the type of interest that Strikeforce and CBS are looking for.
Strikeforce on CBS will air live in its usual timeslot of 9PM ET while those on the west coast will have to watch it on tape delay at 9PM PT.
The last event that CBS aired was Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Rogers on November 7th. It pulled in decent ratings, but could not surpass the numbers that CBS drew when they featured Kimbo Slice.
With the addition of Henderson, Strikeforce and CBS should see better numbers, as long as their opponents can pose some sort of threat to them.
