The show that launched the careers of MMA greats Forrest Griffin and Rashad Evans is coming back for an eleventh season. The Ultimate Fighter Season 11 is set to debut on Spike TV on March 31, 2010, and will feature middleweights with UFC greats Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell and Tito “The Huntington Beach Badboy” Ortiz serving as the coaches.
Liddell served as a coach on the first season of the show, while Ortiz was a coach during the third season. The two will continue their heated rivalry as they guide 16 middleweight fighters through the grueling process of becoming a UFC fighter.
Liddell, who was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame this past summer, has a long history with fellow coach Tito Ortiz. The two have fought twice before, resulting in a loss each time for Ortiz. The two men will square off once again at the conclusion of the season.
The names of the contestants for the season have yet to be announced. The Ultimate Fighter Season 11 is scheduled to premiere on Spike TV on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 10:00pm ET/PT.
