UFC president Dana White appeared as a guest on this morning’s ESPN SportsCenter and updated the world on the status of his biggest superstar, heavyweight king Brock Lesnar. White confirmed that the wrestler was released from the hospital yesterday, and that his career remains in jeopardy.
“He had been in the hospital 12 days, finally got released yesterday. Had minor surgery, [we] thought he might have to have major surgery, and like I said yesterday, he’s not out of the woods yet,” White said. “He’s gonna go home, rest a couple of days, we’ll see how he looks and probably send him down to the Mayo Clinic and have him checked out.”
Lesnar has pulled out of two proposed title defenses against Shane Carwin due to various illnesses. They were initially slated to square off this weekend inside the Mandalay Bay Event Center in Las Vegas for UFC 106, then again at UFC 108, however Lesnar’s condition continued to worsen.
