Demian Maia Meets Dan Miller At UFC 110

According to various reports, a contest between Demian Maia and Dan Miller is in the works for UFC 110 on February 6th in Las Vegas, Nevada. Both are neck-and-neck with other top contenders in the 185-pound class, so an impressive win would certainly help the winner separate himself from his middleweight peers.

Sources close to the situation told on Friday that both sides have verbally agreed to the bout.

Maia was last seen unconscious on the UFC 102 canvas after eating a stiff right from Nate Marquardt just 21 seconds into their bout. The loss marks the only blemish on Maia’s 11-1 record, he’s 5-1 inside the Octagon.

Miller boasts similar stats as he stakes claim to an impressive 11-2 record of his own, and is 3-1 for the UFC. The former IFL middleweight champ will also be looking to bounce back from a loss after he dropped his last fight to Chael Sonnen at UFC 98 back in May.

Not much else is known about the yet-to-be announced event, however former UFC welterweight champions Matt Hughes and Matt Serra are also expected to participate in the show (although not against each other).
