Fabricio Werdum will reportedly be taking on Antonio Silva in one of the four CBS televised bouts at Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Rogers. The November 7th show will be taking place inside the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
Multiple sources close to the situation have confirmed that this heavyweight scrap is a-go. However, no official word from the San Jose-based company regarding the contest.
Werdum looked impressive in his Strikeforce debut when it took him all of 1:24 to catch an overwhelmed Mike Kyle in a sick guillotine choke. Prior to that Strikeforce: Carano vs. Cyborg contest, the Werdum was ousted from the UFC following his first-round TKO loss to Junior dos Santos at UFC 90 last October.
Silva, on the other hand, is one of the world’s most talented young heavyweights. The Brazilian has rolled off six consecutive wins, with the last two taking place in Japan.
