Fresh off a bout with the H1N1 virus, Jason “Mayhem” Miller confirmed a Strikeforce title match versus Jake Shields via his Twitter account. The bout is to be for the undisputed title, and not an interim bout as previously rumored, due to former champion Cung Le relinquishing the his Strikeforce middleweight title.
Mayhem Miller, the popular host of MTV’s Bully Beatdown, has previously fought for ICON, UFC, and Dream. He holds notable wins over Dennis Kang and Robbie Lawler and is last coming off a disqualification loss to Ronaldo “Jacare” de Souza in their Dream middleweight title bout. His bout with Shields promising to be an exciting battle between two high-level grapplers. The Cesar Gracie-trained Shields has submitted his past six opponents and is currently on a 12-fight win streak.
