All UFC 102 Fighters Test Clean

The Oregon State Athletic Commission has announced that all six contestants required to submit UFC 102 post-fight drug tests have come back clean. The event took place on August 29th inside the Rose Garden in Portland, Oregon.

Surprisingly, the OSAC only requested six of the 22 fighters that competed in the show to pee in a cup, however main event fighters Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Randy Couture were among the them.

Other fighters tested were Aaron Simpson, Todd Duffee, Evan Dunham and Chris Leben. Because it was Leben’s first fight since his failed UFC 89 post-fight screener, he was required to submit samples before and after the his bout.

As with other U.S. Commissions, the OSAC tests for both drugs of abuse, such as marijuana, cocaine and heroin, and performance-enhancing drugs like steroids and HGH.

UFC 102 marked the the promotion’s Pacific Northwest debut. Although the UFC didn’t set the house record in attendance or gate revenue, the event still drew 16,088 attendees for a solid $1.92 million gate.
