Bob Sapp To Replace Gegard Mousasi At Dream.11

According to former Chicago Bears lineman and K-1 fighter Bob Sapp, he will be stepping in to replace injured Strikeforce light heavyweight champ Gegard Mousasi in the semifinals of the “Super Hulk Tournament” at Dream.11 on October 6th.

Sapp told that when Dream officials reached out to him and requested his services, he couldn’t decline an opportunity to redeem himself after initially getting punted from the tournament by Ikuhisa Minowa at Dream.9 in May.

It took Minowa all of 75 seconds to dispose of Sapp in the tourney’s opening round.

Sapp, who holds a 10-5-1 pro MMA mark, will be taking on UFC fallout Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou inside the Yokohama Arena in Kanagawa, Japan.

The victor of that scrap will meet the winner of the other semifinal between Minowa and Hong Man Choi that same evening.
