The UFC has officially announced their UFC 104 event on October 24th in Los Angeles, California, headlined by Mauricio “Shogun” Rua’s first-ever title fight against newly-crowned light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida.
Tickets for the Staples Center show will be available beginning August 27th for UFC Fight Club members and the following day for UFC.com newsletter subscribers. The general public gains access on the 29th. Tickets go on sale each day at 1PM ET/10AM PT through Ticketmaster.
The promotion also confirmed the co-main event clash between heavyweights Ben Rothwell and Cain Velasquez. Velasquez was originally scheduled to face Shane Carwin at the event, however that bout was scrapped. UFC President Dana White instead made the announcement that Carwin would get a heavyweight title shot against Brock Lesnar at UFC 106.
