A back injury will postpone Dan Lauzon’s UFC return, as he will be forced out of his bout with Rafaello Oliveira at UFC 103. Dan, the younger brother of popular UFC fighter Joe Lauzon, was hoping to end his three-year Octagon hiatus before the injury bug bit him.
“The Upgrade” last fought for the world’s biggest MMA organization at UFC 64 back in 2006, where he was TKO’ed by Spencer Fisher in the first round of their matchup. From there, Lauzon proceeded to win 8 out of his next 9 fights, albeit against lesser competition.
It is not clear if the UFC will look to replace Lauzon, or scrap the fight from the card completely.
Lauzon and Oliveira were both carry-overs from the canceled Affliction: Trilogy show earlier this month.
