The race continues to heat up between Strikeforce and the UFC to see who can snag the most former Affliction Entertainment fighters. The San Jose-based organization takes the latest round, as MMA veteran Matt Lindland has signed a three-fight contract with Strikeforce.
Lindland told MMAWeekly.com that he expects to participate in Strikeforce’s next major card, which is rumored to be taking place this October. He also didn’t waste any time in calling for the company’s best, as he called out middleweights Jake Shields, Robbie Lawler, and 185-pound champ Cung Le.
Lindland last fought at Affliction: Day of Reckoning this past January, where he suffered a thirty-seven second knockout loss to Vitor Belfort.
