The relationship between Tito Ortiz and UFC President Dana White has taken an interesting turn. The two long-time rivals recently cemented their re-born friendship with a kiss.
In his most recent video blog, Ortiz and White were asked if they would kiss for the camera. Ortiz immediately obliged, and planted a big one right on White’s kisser.
Ortiz and White have had a long-standing rivalry, which came to an abrupt end last month when Ortiz and White patched up, resulting in Ortiz re-joining the organization.
“Me and Dana met in Las Vegas before UFC 100 and we both decided to bury the hatchet,” Ortiz recently stated. “We were really good friends at one point, but we just didn’t see eye to eye on a lot of topics. Dana even told me that if I didn’t end up signing with the UFC, it’s still better to have me as a friend than an enemy.”
When he’s not locking lips with the UFC President, Ortiz is training with Freddie Roach at the Wild Card Boxing Club in Los Angeles. After that, Ortiz hopes to make a stop in Montreal to train with UFC welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre to prepare for his next big fight, presumably against former UFC heavyweight champion Mark Coleman at UFC 106 in November.
“I respect him a lot,” Ortiz stated of Coleman. “I think this fight will have a lot more personal vendetta behind it the closer the fight comes, I think.”
