Amir Sadollah vs. Johny Hendricks
Bruce Buffer was noticeably rushing the ring introductions.
Round 1: Sadollah attacked early and landed some leg kicks, but Hendricks caught Sadollah with an uppercut and started wailing away on Sadollah and the referee stopped the fight in just 29 seconds in what looked like an early stoppage. Sadollah looked like he was getting back up to his feet when the fight was stopped. The crowd booed the stoppage.
Winner via TKO (strikes) at 0:29 of Round 1: Johny Hendricks
After the fight, Joe Rogan asked Hendricks if he thought Sadollah was out, and Hendricks noted that it wasn’t his job to make those decisions. The crowd still booed Hendricks, even though it wasn’t his fault that the fight was stopped prematurely.
