The UFC had announced this past Monday that Rich Franklin was going to get a chance to avenge his UFC 93 split decision loss to Dan Henderson at UFC 103 in September, however quickly pulled the fight from their website.
Dana White announced today that Rich Franklin will instead face the returning Vitor Belfort in a light heavyweight bout at the event. He said the bout was changed due to pressure from fans being unhappy with a Franklin-Henderson rematch coming so soon after their first bout this past January.
While that leaves Henderson in limbo, White announced that he would probably get the next middleweight title shot at Anderson Silva. Henderson has won three straight bouts since he lost to Silva back at UFC 82: Pride of a Champion back in March of 2008.
