TUF 9: Chris Lytle vs. Kevin Burns

Chris Lytle vs. Kevin Burns

Round 1: Lytle came out swinging. Burns hit some big shots of his own, and slipped after one, but got quickly up to his feet. Burns accidentally landed a low blow late in the round, which caused a break in the action. Lytle quickly recovered and they stayed standing. Burns dropped Lytle with a minute left with a big right hook and landed several shots, but Lytle recovered and Burns pressed Lytle against the cage. Burns starting teeing off on Lytle as the round came to a close. scores it 10-9 for Burns.

Round 2: Lytle rocked Burns early and hurt Burns. Lytle was able to take Burns down, but Burns was able to get back to his feet. Lytle stayed aggressive, picking Burns apart before being hit with a low blow again, causing a break in the fight. The fight continued and Burns accidentally low blowed Lytle again near the end of the round, but he didn’t get a point taken away. scores it 10-9 for Lytle.

Round 3: Burns went for a kick early, but Lytle caught it and nailed a big right. Burns got a bad cut on the side of his left eye. Lytle continued to pepper Burns with strikes. Lytle rocked Burns with rights, but Burns stayed in there. They were swinging as the round came to a close. scores it 10-9 for Lytle.

Winner via unanimous decision (scores of 29-28): Chris Lytle
