Mirko Cro Cop vs. Mighty Mo at DREAM 10

The circus that has become Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic’s MMA career has taken yet another twist. One day after stating that he hasn’t signed a contract with either DREAM or the UFC, it is being reported that the Croatian will meet Siala “Mighty Mo” Siliga at DREAM 10.

Josh Gross of was the first to report Cro Cop’s participation on the July 20th event.

Immediately following his UFC 99 win over Mostapha Al-Turk, UFC president Dana White claimed that Cro Cop Filipovic backstabbed him and the UFC in favor of Dream.

“Isn’t that a dirty (expletive) thing to do?” White told Kevin Iole of Yahoo! Sports. “He (expletive) me. The first time in the history of the company I do [a contract] over the phone. He promised me a three-fight deal and he (expletive) me.”

Cro Cop stated yesterday that his agreement with the UFC was simply a one-fight deal, and after that he would negotiate with all interested parties, including the UFC.

“I haven’t signed anything yet with any organization and, as I said, I’m prepared to talk with both sides,” Cro Cop told

Cro Cop’s statements completely contradict what White and Mike Kogan, who runs the U.S. operation of Dream’s parent company, Fighting and Entertainment Group (FEG) made immediately following Cro Cop’s victory this past weekend.

Both MMA honchos claim that the striker opted to once again leave the States for Japanese competition.

Mighty Mo, an accomplished kickboxer by day, currently holds a 3-1 professional mixed marital arts record. He was most recently seen getting triangle choked by Semmy Schilt at K-1 Dynamite! 2008 this past New Year’s Eve.

If today’s report holds true, Cro Cop has been bending the truth since Saturday evening, while White has been telling the truth about the jump.
