MMAWeekly.com is reporting that Patrick “The Predator” Cote, whose fight with Anderson Silva started Silva’s current two-fight streak of disappointing fights, signed a new four-fight deal with the UFC. Cote has been out of action since he blew out his knee in the third round in his fight with Silva at UFC 90 last October.
We had reported last month that Cote was not looking to get an easy fight when he returns, and wants a big fight when he returns. “I want a big fight right away,” he told MMAWeekly Radio in April. “I want a top five or top-10 guy. I already say that to the UFC management. They say they are able to do it. They are going to give me a top guy, for sure.”
Cote had been talking about returning in September, likely at UFC 103 on September 26th, 2009.
