Breaking News – According to Yahoo sports, former street fighting legend and EliteXC fighter Kimbo Slice will be appearing on the tenth season of The Ultimate Fighter. The brawler, whose real name is Kevin Ferguson, gained fame by appearing on YouTube fighting in the backyards of Miami. He has since capitalized on fame with a big money contract at the now defunct EliteXC. Now, on a show that’s premise is largely win or go home, Kimbo might be facing his last chance at a major league MMA career.
Ever since Slice’s signing with EliteXC, he has often been criticized by UFC President Dana White, who has said that Kimbo would lose to a UFC lightweight like B.J. Penn. White’s also called him a joke amidst other things and has stated that the only way anyone would ever see Kimbo in the UFC was if he won his way on through The Ultimate Fighter. Now the 230 heavyweight Slice will try to make Dana eat his words.
The UFC is all set to announce this on Tuesday’s media day. With all the hype surrounding the coaching announcements of Quinton “Rampage” Jackson versus Rashad Evans along with a Kimbo Slice appearance, this season is shaping up to be the most highly-rated Ultimate Fighter season ever.
