For those of you wondering why UFC president Dana White hasn’t been hitting up the Twitter lately, well, it’s because he has been unusually busy. The 205-pound division has recently experienced significant moves, however White claims that it is only the beginning as he will be making some “great” announcements on tomorrow.
“Sorry i havent updated! I will have tons of great crazy news for u on monday,” White tweeted on Saturday.
One of the things that White may announce is that newly crowned UFC light heavyweight champ Lyoto Machida will be making his first title defense against resurgent Mauricio “Shogun” Rua.
This bout was arranged after former UFC 205-lb. title holder Quinton “Rampage” Jackson opted to coach opposite fellow-former champ Rashad Evans on the 10th season of “The Ultimate Fighter.”
It is believed that the two Brazilians will headline UFC 104 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA on October.
No word on what else White may be hitting us with tomorrow, but we will keep you posted.
