It seems that Jason McDonald was not the only Canadian sent packing from the UFC this past week. Georges St. Pierre training partner David “The Crow” Loiseau was also cut after one bout in his third stint with the organization.
Loiseau had previously worked his way back from being cut after a loss to Jason Day with three wins outside the organization. His comeback fight with a slumping Ed Herman was meant to rejuvenate his career. Instead, it’s the former TUF Finalist in “Short Fuse” Herman that got a stay of execution with a win over the Canadian fighter in his hometown of Montreal, Quebec.
Time will tell what’s next for the 18-9 David Loiseau. With three chances at the UFC middleweight division in the books already, it looks to be a long road back to the spotlight for “The Crow”.
