Quick Shots: Evans – Rampage Altercation, ‘Fighting’ Update, Hamman Replaces Babalu & More

* Fighting, which stars Strikeforce Middleweight Champion Cung Le in a minor role, dropped to No. 8 at the box office in its second week with an estimated $4.1 million. It’s total tally now sits at $17.5 million.

* It was announced last week that Jared Hamman (10-1) will replace Renato “Babalu” Sobral against Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante for Strikeforce’s June 6th event. Hamman last fought this past August during the headline bout on ShoXC, defeating Poai Suganuma via TKO at 2:34 of Round 1.

* Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Rashad Evans had a near altercation at a UFC photo shoot a couple of weeks ago. The two were put in the same room, which upset Jackson and resulted in Jackson being taken out to the hallway. Another member, not realizing Jackson had been taken out to the hallway, took Evans out to the same hallway and Jackson started going off on him, resulting in the two being separated. Evans noted after the staredown that he and Jackson always got along until they had their staredown at UFC 96 in March.
