Bellator Fighting Championships Sets Debut Date

Bellator Fighting Championships let their fans know earlier today that the debut event will take place on April 3rd from the Hard Rock Live in the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, FL.

Here’s the information that the BFC passed through today:

The Hard Rock Live has a magical track record of hosting world-class MMA events in their state of the art arena, and we feel there is no better place to unveil our new league and new vision for MMA than in front of South Florida’s passionate MMA fans. The fight will be broadcast nationally in a two-hour television event, Saturday April 4th on ESPN Deportes.

Additionally, I am also pleased to present to you our scheduled fight card for the opening night of the tournament season. These matchups will mark the start of our 12-week championship tournament and will feature single elimination tournament bouts in the Featherweight (145 lbs.), Lightweight (155 lbs.) and Middleweight (185 lbs.) divisions. Among these premiere tournament bouts are two of the world’s best Lightweight fighters in Eddie Alvarez and Jorge Masvidal.

Here is our complete scheduled fighter card for April 3rd:

155 lbs. – Eddie Alvarez (16-2) vs. Daniel Morales (5-1)

155 lbs. – Jorge Masvidal (16-3) vs. Diego Garijo (3-1)

145 lbs. – Nick Gonzalez (14-6) vs. Yahir Reyes (12-5)

145 lbs. – Estevan Payan (6-1) vs. Luis Palomino (9-4)

145 lbs. – Joe Soto (4-0) vs. Ben Greer (11-4)

155 lbs. – Toby Imada (20-11) vs. Israel Giron (7-1)
