Fresh off of his win over Troy Mandaloniz at last week’s UFC 95, British fighter Paul Kelly plans a move to the lightweight division. Kelly was 2-1 run in the UFC’s welterweight division, with his only loss coming to Marcus Davis at UFC 89.
Fighting as a welterweight for Kelly did not require him to cut any weight at this time and he doesn’t see any problems making the lightweight limit.
Paul Kelly will be entering a crowded lightweight division currently ruled by BJ Penn. Kelly also plans to sign a new contract with the UFC before his next fight takes place.
