The Nevada State Athletic Commission announced yesterday that five UFC fighters have been medical suspended following UFC 94: St-Pierre vs. Penn 2.
UFC Lightweight champion BJ Penn is medically suspended for precautionary reasons until March 18th after his loss to Georges St-Pierre when he could no longer continue.
Former undefeated Light Heavyweight Thiago Silva will also be forced to sit out until March 18th. Silva was knocked out by Lyoto Machida with :01 second to go in the first round.
Stephan Bonnar has been told that a scalp laceration will keep him out of the Octagon until March 3rd.
After a dominating loss to Jon Fitch, Akihiro Gono must sit out until March 3rd as well for precautionary reasons.
Chris Wilson received the longest medical suspension for UFC 94. Wilson will be out of action until at least July 3rd after John Howard broke his nose.
