If you missed EPISODE 21 of Fightline Radio’s“The Best Damn MMA Show on the Air”, you missed our KILLA interview with “The Alaskan Assassin”, Sam Hoger.
Hoger Goes Off on MMA Judges:
Hoger disagrees with how most MMA judges score a fight. He insists that if you look at Rashad Evans’ face after their fight, that he clearly beat him.
“You have to look at the inflicted damage of a fight, the same thing the cops look at when they do a police report!”
On his fight against Rashad Evans,
“Dude, I beat that guy. That guy looked like he got hit by the wrong side of a bus when our fight was over”.
Asked if he thinks he could beat Evans if they fought again?
“Dude, I think I beat him the first time- I beat him then, I’ll beat him now, I think I’ll beat him anytime.”
On his fight against Lyoto Machida,
“Why are these guys trying to judge a game of tag when they’re saying they’re judging a fight?”
“Boxing is a grandfather’s sport.”
On his future,
“I’m looking to be like Mike Tyson in the 80’s when he was wrecking shop!”.
On the Sokoudjou vs Machida fight,
“I’m going to break a story for you guys. Most people don’t know that Sokoudjou came into that fight with a broken hand!”
Asked what he thinks about Lyoto Machida’s reputation as maybe “The Best Light Heavyweight in the UFC”.
“Oh my god are you kidding me- the most BORING light heavyweight in the UFC!
If you want to a Snooze-Fest yeah watch him.
If you want to see a game of tag, watch him!
If you want to watch a guy who’s not trying to inflict any damage, who’s trying to help you comb your hair to the right, yeah watch him.
That guy is boring, he’s Sooooo boring that nobody cares to watch him! If that guy becomes light heavyweight champion of the world, I gurantee you that no one will buy that pay-per-view.”
