2theadvocate is reporting that the UFC has had open dialogue with Alvin Topham, who happens to be the chairman of the Louisiana Boxing and Wrestling Commission.
During the discussions Topham said that the UFC and its owners are looking to setting a date sometime in the summer for their debut in Louisiana.
Obviously the discussions are still in the early stages but it seems more than likely that the UFC will be holding an event in the bayou.
Louisiana and New Orleans is on our radar,” UFC vice president of regulatory affairs Marc Ratner told The Times newspaper.
No date has been set yet according to Ratner because of scheduling conflicts with other UFC events. If they can iron out a date, it seems like the UFC is dead set on Louisiana.
