Despite allegedly leading police on a high speed chase and resisting arrest, Josh Neer will face Mac Danzig next month at UFN 17.
Neer’s manager, Mickey Dubberly, stated the following via email:
“Josh will be fighting Mac Danzig Feb. 7 in the co-main event in Tampa as scheduled. Josh has been training very hard for this fight and is looking forward to putting on a great fight for the UFC and fans. Josh would like to once again thank his family, fans, friends, training partners, UFC and everyone that has supported him through his career.”
Neer was recently arrested after allegedly hitting a couple of vehicles including a police car and then leading police on a high speed chase that lasted approximately 15 minutes before being apprehended.
Both Neer and Danzig are coming off of decision loses at UFN 15. Neer dropped a close contest to Nate Diaz coming up on the short side of a split decision. Danzig dropped a unanimous decision to Clay Guida.
