Famed boxing superstar trainer Freddie Roach has been working with Andrei Arlovski for some time now. The highly sought after trainer and strategist has an impressive resume having worked with the likes of Bernard Hopkins, Wladimir Klitschko, Oscar De La Hoya, Manny Pacquiao, James Toney, and Mike Tyson among others.
Roach has recently expanded into MMA working extensively with Arlovski as he prepared for Ben Rothwell and has also held training sessions with UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva to help him with his boxing technique.
Roach, who is also highly sought after in boxing circles for his strategic abilities had the following to say regarding Arlovski’s upcoming opponent and consensus top ranked heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko:
“If you back up with Fedor and he gets you off balance, it could be a short night,” Roach stated in a recent episode of Arlovski 360. “He’s very aggressive, very dangerous; so we’re working on keeping our balance and staying on cue at all times and backing Fedor up because he can’t fight going backwards.”
