Juanito Ibarra is now Quinton Jackson’s former long-time manager, trainer and friend. He more than anyone would know how Jackson is heading into his fight with Wanderlei Silva at UFC 92, unfortunately he no longer is involved in Jackson’s life after Jackson was quoted as saying that he, “dropped some baggage.”
Ibarra recently went on record saying that he doesn’t feel Jackson is quite ready to take on somebody the caliber of Wanderlei Silva this early after Jackson’s stint with the law when he send officers on a wild police chase after losing his UFC Light Heavyweight title.
“I could be a million percent wrong, but I think this is a bad time for him to be fighting Wanderlei,” Ibarra recently said.
This will be Jackson’s first fight since his arrest and while he still has a court date looming over his head, Jackson feels that he’s ready but can he get the nightmares of two bad losses to Silva behind him? We’ll find out on Saturday night.
