Georges St-Pierre Canadian Athlete Of The Year

Georges St-Pierre has had a busy year as he has worked his way back up towards the top of MMA’s best pound-for-pound fighters. After beating Matt Serra in the UFC’s first ever event in Canada, GSP soundly dominated then #1 contender to his title Jon Fitch.

Now GSP has another accolade to add to his already full trophy case as he was just awarded the Canadian of the Year Award.

St-Pierre beat out All-Star athletes like Jerome Iginla of the Calgary Flames and Justin Morneau of the Minnesota Twins to win the award. Past winners include former NBA MVP Steve Nash and NHL superstar Sidney Crosby.
