K-1 “Premium 2008 Dynamite” is shaping up to be one of the best cards of the year as another fight has all but been finalized. Monte Cox, who manages Eddie Alvarez, says that a fight between Alvarez and Shinya Aoki has been verbally agreed upon but has yet to be signed.
Both Aoki and Alvarez have found themselves ranked in the top 10 in the world as far as Lightweights go. If the match does take place, it would give fans a chance to see what could’ve happen in the Dream Lightweight Grand Prix finals.
Aoki got himself back on the winning track after dispatching of WEC veteran Todd Moore this past September.
Alvarez on the other hand is still riding his five fight win streak and will look to solidify his status as one of the top Lightweight fighters in the world.
