The UFC announced today that their newest Middleweight signee will be making his debut against Alan Belcher at UFC 92 on January 17th. Dennis Kang has long be regarded as one of the top Middleweight fighters in the world, but will look to impress fans that don’t even know who he is. Kang was brought on to bolster the UFC’s Middleweight division in hopes to find someone suitable to challenge its champion in Anderson Silva.
Also announced were main card bouts between Marcus Davis and Chris Lytle as well as Rousimar Palhares and Jeremy Horn.
UFC 93 boasts a co-main event with bouts between Rich Franklin and Dan Henderson, and a re-match between UFC Hall-of-Famer Mark Coleman against a returning Mauricio Rua.
The event will be on Pay-Per-View, not SpikeTV for free as people had originally thought. It will be interesting to see if some of the UFC’s most well-known stars can help sell Pay-Per-View buys.
