With the complete demise of EliteXC only a formality, Gina Carano says that she already has offers on the table. “I’ll be fine. I won’t be hurt,” Carano told the Carson Times regarding Pro Elite’s bankruptcy. Even with offers on the table, Carano has to wait until EliteXC’s assets have been auctioned off until she can sign any offer.
“I can’t take any seriously until we figure out what’s happening with Elite XC. We’ll go with the best money offer.” Carano continued.
Strikeforce and the AFL would make sense as options for Carano but she didn’t go into details as to what promotions are currently courting her.
Even with all of the confusion following Pro Elite’s announcement of their closure, Carano still has her eyes on fighting Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos in the very near future. “We’re in contact with her. We don’t want to go signing anything yet. We want to make sure we don’t get taken advantage of. That’s the fight everybody wants to see.”
