Knee Surgury To Put Cote Out For Six to Eight Months

Patrick Cote, who unexpectedly collapse after answering the bell for the third round of his UFC middleweight title fight with highly regarded pound-for-pound great Anderson Silva, will undergo knee surgery next week to repair damage to his right knee.

Cote originally sustained the injury at in training at the beginning of this year and re-aggravated it about three weeks ago and then again during his fight with Silva.

The surgery is expected to keep Cote out of action for the next six to eight months, putting talk of an immediate rematch to rest.
