Grappling wizard Robert Drysdale makes his MMA debut this Friday October 17th for the TUFF-N-UFF promotion against 18 year old Josh Musick, who carries a 5-0 amateur record according to mixedmartialarts.com.
Drysdale is considered a superstar on the grappling scene, having won the ADCC Open division 2007 title by submitting Marcello Garcia. Grappling credentials have never been a guarantee of success, as fellow matt wizards Marcello Garcia and Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza can attest after losing their MMA debuts via TKO stoppage and KO respectively. However, as Brazilian jiu-jitsu coach at Xtreme Couture, Drysdale will surely have developed some useful MMA skills to supplement his world class submission game. He has also recently appeared as grappling coach for Team Mir on the most recent season of The Ultimate Fighter.
Look for MMA’s newest hot prospect to take no chances and make use of his skills by taking this one to the deck early.
