The Los Angeles Times got to speak to Dana White about this Saturday’s UFC 89: Bisping vs. Leben, but the subject had quickly changed to EliteXC’s recent troubles that stem back to EliteXC: Heat. EliteXC is currently under investigation for possibly having an effect on the outcome after Seth Petruzelli told an Orlando radio station that he was told that he would receive more money if he kept the fight standing against Kimbo Slice.
Dana White was quick to get his two cents in when he told the media, “I think you’re going to see him [Kimbo Slice] fighting at barbecues again,” while promoting a book in New York.
Now he’s continuing his assault against his competitor. “This is illegal, these guys should go to jail for that,” White told Lance Pugmire of the Los Angeles Times.
It also seemed that White wants to make sure that the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation handles their investigation properly by saying, “If this happened in Nevada, or if it happened with me, the FBI would be investigating it. If this thing does not get investigated properly, it’s the biggest slap in the face to sports.”
No details have surfaced regarding the investigation of EliteXC yet, but no matter what happens we’re sure to hear from Dana White again.
