Mirko Cro Cop "under pressure" to win

He was once feared as the most dangerous striker in Mixed Martial Arts but all of that went out the window with one Gabriel Gonzaga high kick. It seems as though Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic has lost of the mystique that he had gained in the final days of Pride. “I lost two fights in the UFC, and I have a fear of it happening again. I can’t afford more failures.” Filipovic explained.

Many would argue that Alistair Overeem was on his way to dominating “Cro Cop” until a series of low blows prevented Filipovic from continuing at Dream.6. “Cro Cop” would love a chance to get back at Overeem, specifically at New Year’s Eve.

“There is no point crying over spilt milk.” Filipovic said of the low blows, “I expect my revenge at New Year’s Eve.”

In order to stay relevant in the MMA landscape, Filipovic may not only need just a win over Overeem it may need to be in “Cro Cop” fashion which is something that not many people feel he has left in the tank.

“I should have been more aggressive of course. It’s something I’ll have to work on.” “Cro Cop” continued. We’ll have to wait and see if he’ll get his shot at revenge on December 31st.
