David Granados will be fighting November 1st at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium against Chris David out of Sacramento. Chris holds a record of 10-7-2, is a prodigy of Dave Terrell and is also teaching and training at 2 other major gyms in Sacramento. They will be competing for the PureCombat 135 lb Championship belt. David Granados, 5-3 from Merced, has competed against such athletes as Urijah Faber and Shawn Bias and is definitely being challenged out to deep water again by taking on such an opponent as Chris David. He realizes that a PureCombat belt is not an easily attained victory…so all we can say is “Be careful what you ask for”.
At 185, Steve “Nightmare” Renaud 3-3 is making this his retirement fight. Steve has been in the Martial Arts since 1989 and had accumulated a Muay Thai/Kickboxing/Boxing Amateur record of 14-0 with all his wins by KO. In 1998 he began his Amateur MMA career which ended in 2002 with a 7-0 record with half of those fights ending in KO. Derek 4-10 and having accomplished all of his wins by KO, will find it very difficult to make this fight his and take Steve out.
In the 125 category, Jennifer Tate a 4-1 Elite Combat fighter from Lodi, known to be a submission specialist, will be taking on Sara Schneider 3-1 a well rounded fighter from Ladies of Pain out of San Francisco. This should be a very exciting fight as both these young ladies are scrappers and have wanted this fight to happen for a long time. I say look for the knock out on this one.
A very high energy fight at 145 will be between Art Arciniega 6-3 and Gigo Jara 6-7. Art who currently holds a belt from a win against Shawn Bias in January of this year and Gigo Jara 6-7 just coming of a win against Cruz Gomez in PureCombats Aug 15th event HardCore, are good to go all the way to end of the 3rd round. Gigo intends to officially carry on with a winning streak by taking Art out along the way.
Also on the card at 170 is Zach Trammell out of Elite Combat in Lodi. Zach has shown great skills in his 3-1 career so far. He has fought for PureCombat twice and has an explosive and aggressive style that has made him very exciting to see. Zach’s opponent is to be announced, but his opponent knows who he is . . .Zach says ‘Bring it on”.
The undercard is sure to please as well. Michael Brown vs Billy Miles, Jesse Bowen vs Nelson Ocampo, Richard Blake vs Drew Montgomery, Jason Kimmel vs Raymond Doxie, Alex Sandoval vs Adam Antolin, Gary Baldwin vs DJ Roberson, Chad Dammarell vs Aaron Pegg and Patrick Gonzales vs Sam Purnell-Campbell.
