Kevin Iole of Yahoo! Sports is reporting that Quinton “Rampage” Jackson will get a third attempt to defeat Wanderlei Silva in January at UFC 93. “It’s a very fluid situation, but it’s almost certain it won’t happen in November and it’s very unlikely for December.” Iole cautioned.
It was originally thought that Jackson/Silva would co-headline at UFC 91 in Oregon with Randy Couture’s UFC return against Brock Lesnar. Instead, they will complete their trilogy at UFC 93 in January.
It had been unclear up until this point as to when the UFC was going to bring back Jackson. It looks like the UFC has taken the safe approach and gave him a little more time to get himself together before giving him another big fight.
